Corporate Responsibilities

California Transparency in Supply Chains Act

Solace Jewelry is committed to ensuring that all our suppliers comply with the applicable laws and regulations of the United States and those of the respective countries of manufacture or exportation. In accordance with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act (SB 657), Solace Jewelry takes proactive steps to address human trafficking and slavery in our direct supply chain, which includes both private and national brands.

Verification

Solace Jewelry's supply and legal executives regularly meet, and as needed, to assess the risk of human trafficking and slavery in our supply chains. We continuously evaluate whether our policies and procedures adequately address these risks.

Kimberley Process Adherence

Solace Jewelry adheres to the Kimberley Process (http://www.kimberleyprocess.com/en/about) to collaborate with industry partners in controlling the export and import of rough diamonds mined after January 1, 2003. This system aims to prevent the introduction of contraband diamonds mined in conflict zones into the legitimate supply chain. Since 2003, the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), supported by national and international legislation, has certified the legitimate origin of uncut diamonds. Through our involvement with the KPCS, we can better understand and monitor risks associated with labor recruitment practices and the use of specific labor intermediaries in our supply chain.

Audits

Solace Jewelry will not tolerate any reports of human trafficking and slavery in our supply chain and will thoroughly investigate any such allegations. All our diamond suppliers undergo an annual certification process to ensure compliance with the Kimberley Process. Non-compliance by any supplier may result in the termination of the business relationship.

Certification

All Solace Jewelry suppliers must adhere to our vendor standards, which strictly prohibit human trafficking and slavery. Suppliers must also comply with the stricter of either the country of manufacture's labor laws or our standards. We periodically communicate with suppliers to inform them of new laws or revisions to existing laws. By accepting each purchase order, Solace Jewelry's suppliers confirm their understanding and agreement to our vendor standards, ensuring that the diamonds are conflict-free and comply with United Nations Resolutions related to "Diamonds In Conflict."

Internal Accountability

Solace Jewelry associates adhere to an employee Code of Conduct that informs them about our policies relating to human trafficking. Non-compliance with our standards regarding slavery and trafficking can result in corrective action or termination, depending on the severity and frequency of the non-compliance. If compliance problems are identified, we provide written notice and a specified period for corrective action. While we believe in sustainable remediation, we reserve the right to terminate a business relationship if necessary.

Training

Solace Jewelry does not have a formal training program, but all employees responsible for supply chain-related decisions and product purchasing are aware of industry standards and regulations around conflict-free goods. Should an associate become aware of a supplier or contractor not in compliance with our vendor standards, we address it immediately with a corrective action plan or terminate the relationship. Employees specifically responsible for supply chain-related decisions receive detailed training on identifying and addressing human trafficking and slavery in our supply chain.
